Therapy / Counseling Services
The fee for your session will depend on what type of provider you see.
Starting January 1st, 2026, for Licensed Clinicians (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist) fees are as follows: $200 for an initial/diagnostic session, $180 for a 55-minute appointment, $150 for a 45-minute appointment, and $100 for a 30-minute appointment (though 30-minute appointments are rare).
For Supervisees and Residents, the private pay fee for an initial/diagnostic session will continue to be $100. The private pay fee will be $80 per session for all other sessions (55- minute session, 45-minute sessions, and 30-minute sessions, though 30-minute sessions are rare).
If you have an eligible insurance plan, you might be able to see a Supervisee or Resident therapist under your insurance. Please see the Insurance section, below, for more details about insurance fees for Supervisees/Residents.
Any out-of-pocket fees for sessions with a licensed therapist or Supervisee/Resident (such as private pay fees, deductible costs, copays/co-insurance) are eligible for reimbursement under FSA/HSA plans. If you need paperwork to submit for reimbursement from your FSA/HSA, please let us know.
For graduate school interns, the private pay fee is $35 per session (initial/diagnostic, 55-minute, and 45-minute sessions). This rate remains unchanged from the 2025 rate.

COLLECTION OF FEES, COPAYS, COINSURANCE, AND DEDUCTIBLES

Our policy is to collect fees (copays, private pay, cancellation, etc.) by automatically charging them to the card on file the day after a session is held (or missed). If you instead wish to be notified before a fee or copay is charged to your card, please email billing@allofyoucounseling.com to tell us that, and we will make a note on your record.
If you have a deductible on your insurance plan, you will end up owing the whole cost of each session (the insurance-negotiated price) until your deductible is met. When you are in this deductible phase, we will collect $100 the morning after your session, rather than your standard copay/coinsurance. When we receive the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) from your insurance company, if your deductible payment is more than $100, the difference will show up as a balance due on your account. You can log into your portal to pay this balance at any time, or if you would rather have the balance due automatically charged to your card on file, just let us know at billing@allofyoucounseling.com.
Psychological Assessments
Psychological assessments can be provided for children ages 2 years to 21 years. All psychological testing fees are private pay only; we regret that we cannot accept insurance at this time.
An initial 45-minute consultation with our Resident Psychologist costs $100. During this discussion, you can share with the psychologist your concerns for your child, and what you hope an assessment might help you learn. The psychologist will then recommend what assessments she thinks are appropriate, and approximately how long the assessment and report-writing process should take.
The assessment process (from meeting with your child through providing a completed report) typically costs between $750 and $1,500, depending on the number of areas that need to be assessed.
The consultation fee will be charged to the card on file the day after the consultation. The assessment and report fee will be based on a good-faith best estimate; written estimates will be provided. This fee can be paid up front (before assessments begin), or half up front and half before the meeting to review the report. The report will not be reviewed, and a copy will not be provided, until the entire assessment fee has been paid.
If testing costs less than the initial estimate, then accounts paid in full will be refunded the difference to the card on file, when the report is reviewed and released. If the fee was paid in halves, the second payment will be reduced. If testing costs more than estimated, this will be communicated timely. Payment for any balance due (the second half payment plus the extra, or just the extra if the original estimate was paid in full up front) must be paid before meeting with the psychologist to review the report.

Non-Session Meetings
Some therapists, especially those who work with children, may be willing to attend meetings (such as school-based team meetings), if you request their attendance. This type of meeting is not covered by insurance, and so falls under out-of-pocket professional services. If your (child’s) therapist agrees to attend such a meeting, the fee is based on their private pay hourly rate.
Other Services
Other services, such as letter-writing and completing forms, are available. Please contact your therapist or our main office at billing@allofyoucounseling.com with questions about types of services and their rates.
Fees for non-session meetings and other services CANNOT be charged to an FSA or HSA card. If your card on file is an FSA or HSA card, please put FSA or HSA in the nickname of that card, so our Billing Department does not accidentally charge non-medical fees to that card. If non-medical fees are charged to an FSA/HSA card, you will have to refund that fee onto that card.
If your main card is FSA/HSA, please have a second non-FSA/HSA card on file, if you ask for any of these non-medical services, or contact billing@allofyoucounseling.com to arrange for payment.
Cancellation and Reschedule Fees
For sessions that are cancelled at least 24 business hours in advance, there will not be a cancellation fee. For sessions that are cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or that are missed or skipped, beginning January 1st, 2026 there will be a flat cancellation fee of $50. This fee will be charged the morning after the missed session.
If you would like to reschedule a session (within the same week, or move it to the next week), your therapist will let you know whether or not that works with their schedule. If they CAN reschedule your session, there will be a $25 fee for this change.
If you are sick and cannot come in for your in-person session, your therapist can switch to telehealth, so you avoid a missed session fee.
If you experience a severe illness or other situation beyond your control, and cannot attend your session, even on telehealth, you can ask your therapist to request from management an exception for the missed session fee. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If a client misses or skips a total of 4 or more sessions in a calendar year, the client may be discharged from service. Our therapists work hard to help as many clients as possible, so if something is preventing a client from keeping their regularly scheduled sessions, that appointment time needs to be given to someone who is able to use it.
Court / Forensic Services
Therapists at All of You Counseling are NOT trained, and ARE NOT ABLE, to provide forensic services, custody evaluations, or other court-related professional services. If you need these services, please seek a practice with appropriately trained and experienced mental health professionals.
Insurance
Our licensed therapists are able to accept most major insurances, including Aetna, most BCBS plans (including Anthem and CareFirst), Cigna, GEHA, Optum/ UnitedHealthcare, Sentara, and Tricare. Some can also accept Kaiser.
Our Supervisees/Residents are able to accept Aetna, most BCBS plans (including Anthem and CareFirst), Cigna, and Sentara.
Some Insurance Details
If your provider is a licensed clinician but is not in-network with your insurance, we can help you apply for out-of-network compensation from your insurance. All of You Counseling can provide you a Superbill at the end of each month. This Superbill describes the sessions you attended, with all of the necessary codes for your insurance company’s review. Check with your insurance company to see if they accept Superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, what additional paperwork they might require (such as a cover sheet/form), and where you should send these.
If your provider is a Supervisee or Resident, please be aware of the following difference between insured-session fees and private pay fees. Insurance companies require a licensed clinician’s NPI (National Provider Identification number) to pay for service. Insurance companies that cover Supervisee sessions require those sessions to be billed under the licensed Supervisor’s NPI. Therefore, if you see a Supervisee therapist and use insurance, please be aware that these sessions will be billed to your insurance at the Supervisor’s rate ($180 per 55-minute session, for instance), NOT the Supervisee’s private pay rate ($80). Medicaid and Medicare
We are in the process of credentialing with Medicaid and Medicare. We hope that all of our licensed therapists will be able to accept both in the near future. Please know that Medicaid and Medicare only cover sessions with licensed therapists, not Supervisees/Residents or interns. So, the number of therapists who will be able to accept these insurances will be limited.
